Nothing is Real

The world does not exist,
The seas do not exist,
The stars do not exist,
Nothing exists but their domain.

They close their eyes as the waves crash at their feet,
The king asks his court to sing a tune,
The dogs start to bark and rip their food to pieces,
One quivering morsel at a time.

If they say tomorrow the week has eight days
They will believe themselves
If they declare that Paris is only in fairy tales
The Eiffel Tower will become a framed picture.
