We are Silent

We watch the wolves and beasts tear at the children in horror,
We condemn them loudly from our chairs,
once they start to clean their teeth,
and recline from their meal.

The audience covered their children's eyes
and turn their heads, but they still sit in their seats.
While the beasts below yelp at each other,
and recline on the bloody rocks.

We secretly revel in the coliseum display,
as we read celebrity journals
with blood soaked covers,
and we remain silent once more.
